1August 24th, 2013 - Thursday evening found Wells Motorsports competing at the 5/8 mile oval at Little Valley Speedway (Little Valley, New York) in a $10,000-to-win, World of Outlaws (WoO) Super Late Model event.

Twenty-eight entries took part in the event, and after qualifying 7th fastest in the field Eric earned the 7th starting spot for the feature with a 3rd place finish in his heat race. In the main event Wells raced in the top ten throughout the race before crossing the finish line in the 8th position, which earned him Rookie of the Race honors.

Saturday night took the team to Winchester Speedway (Winchester, Virginia) for the annual Ray Vest Memorial, which drew a stout field of 45 Super Late Models to the clay oval for the $10,000-to-win event. Heat race and preliminary action found Wells falling short of qualifying for the feature, and as a result he had to utilize a provisional to start the main event in the 26th position. He was able to advance to a 21st place finish, and as the only rookie, who made the feature, he also earned Rookie of the Race honors.

Wells is seventh in the latest series standings and continues to lead the Rookie of the Year points. Full results from the event and complete series' standings are available at www.WoOLMS.com.

August 17th, 2013 - World of Outlaws (WoO) Late Model competition took Wells Motorsports to Winston Speedway (Rothbury, Michigan) on Friday night for a $10,000-to-win event. With 26 entries in the pits 1Wells raced into the 16th starting spot for the feature before advancing four spots to finish 12th. He earned Rookie of the Race honors for his performance.

Merritt Speedway (Lake City, Michigan) found another $10,000-to-win, WoO event being held on Saturday night as 35 entries took part in the race. Eric would be forced to race into the feature via a b-main after he failed to transfer to the feature via heat race action. A win in his b-main positioned Wells starting 17th in the feature before racing to a 15th place finish.

1August 10th, 2013 - With an off-weekend from WoO competition Eric Wells continued his ultra-busy schedule by entering the 31st Annual Sunoco North/South 100 at Florence Speedway (Union, Kentucky) over the weekend.

The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) sanctioned event drew a field of 67 entries to the 1/2 mile oval on Friday night, and via his qualifying effort Wells locked into the pole position of his heat race on Saturday evening. He would go on to score the win in the heat race, which locked him into the 3rd starting spot for the $50,000-to-win, 100 lap finale.

The team had high hopes for the feature but handling issues would force Wells back in the pack to a disappointing 18th place finish. Full results from the weekend are available at www.LucasDirt.com.

1August 5th, 2013 - Thursday evening found Eric making his debut at Cedar Lake Speedway (New Richmond, Wisconsin) in the opening round of the 26th Annual USA Nationals.

A strong field of 52 entries took part in the $6,000-to-win, World of Outlaws (WoO) Super Late Model program, and Wells started his night by qualifying fastest in his group to earn the pole for his heat race. A commanding win in his heat race sent him to the redraw for the 40 lap feature, where he was the recipient of the 2nd starting spot alongside Brandon Sheppard. Wells would go on to race in the top five for much of the event before crossing the finish line in 5th behind race winner, Brandon Sheppard, Josh Richards, Shannon Babb, and Don O'Neal.

Friday evening found preliminary action for the $50,000-to-win finale being held, and after starting 6th in his heat race he advanced to a 4th place finish, which left him one spot short of qualifying for the feature. As a result he ran a b-main on Saturday night, which he won to lock into the 20th starting spot for the finale. He would go on to advance nine spots to finish 11th, which earned him Rookie of the Race honors.

The team concluded their swing through the north with WoO on Monday night with a $10,000-to-win event at Independence Motor Speedway (Independence, Iowa). Thirty-two Super Late Models entered the race, and Eric battled mechanical issues early in the night before utilizing a series' provisional to start the feature 24th. In the 50 lap finale he advanced to a 13th place finish, and once again earned the Rookie of the Race award.
