1August 31st, 2014 - Eric Wells began a busy Labor Day weekend on Thursday night with a trip to Lernerville Speedway (Sarver, Pennsylvania). Friday night's program was sanctioned by the World of Outlaws (WoO) Super Late Models as a $10,000 top prize was posted. With thirty-eight entries on hand Wells finished second in his heat race to earn a spot in the redraw for the feature. After receiving the fifth starting spot for the feature Wells raced around the top five for much of the event before crossing the finish line in fifth behind race winner, Darrell Lanigan, Rick Eckert, Tim Fuller, and Tim McCreadie.

Saturday evening found Eric competing at Selinsgrove Speedway (Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania), where the WoO sanctioned an $8,000-to-win race at the 1/2 mile oval. Forty-one competitors filled the pit area, and a fourth place finish in his heat race earned Wells the thirteenth starting spot for the 40 lap feature. During the course of the feature Eric advanced to a ninth place finish in the final rundown.

The 16th Annual National Open was held at Selinsgrove Speedway on Sunday evening, which posted a $10,000 winner's check. Eric raced to a third place finish in his heat race to lock into the eleventh starting spot for the 50 lap finale. In the feature he battled around the top ten for much of the event, and would ultimately cross the finish line in the eleventh spot.

1August 23rd, 2014 - World of Outlaws (WoO) Late Model competition took Wells Motorsports to I-96 Speedway (Lake Odessa, Michigan) on Friday night for a $10,000-to-win event. With thirty-four entries in the pits Wells used a third place finish in the first heat race to lock into the ninth starting spot on the feature grid. Eric battled amongst the top ten throughout the race before crossing the finish line in ninth.

Merritt Speedway (Merritt, Michigan) found another $10,000-to-win, WoO event being held on Saturday night as thirty-four entries took part in the race. Wells raced into the sixteenth starting spot for the feature before advancing four spots to finish twelfth in the final rundown.

1August 16th, 2014 - Thursday evening found Wells Motorsports competing at Delaware International Speedway (Delmar, Delaware) in a $10,050-to-win, World of Outlaws (WoO) Super Late Model event.

Thirty-four entries took part in the event, and after struggles in qualifying Eric earned the twelfth starting spot for the feature with a third place finish in his heat race. In the main event Wells raced around mid-pack throughout the race before crossing the finish line in the thirteenth position.

Action shifted to Potomac Speedway (Budds Creek, Maryland) on Friday night for another $10,000-to-win program. A field of thirty-five competitors converged on the oval, which saw Wells missing the transfer via heat race action and having to a run a b-main. A second place finish in the b-main earned him the 20th starting spot on the feature grid. During the course of the 50 lapper he advanced to a solid tenth place finish in the final rundown.

Saturday night took the team to Winchester Speedway (Winchester, Virginia), as a stout field of thirty-four Super Late Models registered for the $10,000-to-win event. Preliminary action saw Wells winning his b-main to lock into the eighteenth starting position for the 50 lap finale. He went on to an eleventh place finish at the checkered flag.

1August 2nd, 2014 - Thursday evening found Eric competing at Cedar Lake Speedway (New Richmond, Wisconsin) in the opening round of the 27th Annual USA Nationals.

A string field of fifty-three entries took part in the $6,000-to-win, World of Outlaws (WoO) Super Late Model program, and Wells started his night by qualifying eighth fastest in his group. He went on to struggle in heat race and b-main action, forcing him to utilize a WoO Series Provisional to lock into the 25th starting spot in the 40 lap feature. During the course of the main event Eric advanced to a 23rd place finish in the final rundown.

Friday evening found preliminary action for the $50,000-to-win finale being held, and after qualifying eleventh in Group B during time trials, Wells went on to finish third in his heat race to lock into the seventeenth starting spot for the finale. He would go to advance four positions in Saturday's 100 lap main event to a thirteenth place finish.
