February 22nd, 2014 - The World of Outlaws (WoO) Late Model Series invaded Voluisa Speedway Park on Thursday night. Forty-five entries were on hand for the $10,000-to-win event.

Eric narrowly missed the transfer into the main event via his heat race, but was able to lock in a 20th place starting spot with a second place finish in the b-main. During the course of the 50 lap feature, Wells drove the #18 Wells Motorsports/Team Zero by Bloomquist Super Late Model from his tenth row starting spot to a 16th place finish.

Saturday night's finale in the 43rd Annual DIRTCar Nationals boasted a $10,000 top prize, thirty-five competitors registered for the event. Eric failed to make the transfer into the main event via heat race action or the b-main however, was locked into the 25th place starting spot with a DIRTCar Nationals provisional. Wells rocketed by twelve other competitors during the 50 lap feature en route to a thirteenth place finish.

February 19th, 2014 - Eric Wells and the Wells Motorsports team opened a week-long trek at Volusia Speedway Park on Monday night with UMP DIRTCar Nationals action. (Heath Lawson Photo)

Forty entries took part in the event which was headlined by a $7,000-to-win feature event. Eric earned the pole position for the 30 lap feature after winning his heat race. Wells raced in the top five throughout the race before crossing the finish line in the third position.

Tuesday night's event also boasted a $7,000-to-win top prize and thirty-eight competitors were signed in. Eric failed to make the transfer into the feature event via heat race action, but was able to secure a 17th place starting spot by winning the b-main. During the course of the 30 lap feature, Wells drove by eight other competitors en route to a ninth place finish.

The mid-week event at Volusia Speedway Park drew forty-two entries to compete for the $10,000 prize. It was a strong run for Wells, qualifying second in his respective group and finishing second in his heat race. Wells raced from his third row starting spot to a solid third place finish in the 40 lap feature behind race winner Scott Bloomquist and Dale McDowell. Darrell Lanigan and Billy Moyer rounded out the top five.

February 16th, 2014 - Wells Motorsports kicked off their version of the 2014 racing season with the World of Outlaws (WoO) Late Model Series at Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, Florida on Friday night.

Friday night saw 27 competitors chasing a $7,000 top prize, and Eric started the evening off with the fifth fastest lap overall in qualifying. Wells went on to finish second in his heat race which locked him into a sixth place starting spot for the 35 lap feature. During the course of the feature, Wells fell back to a respectable 12th place finish in his #18 Wells Motorsports/Team Zero by Bloomquist Super Late Model.

Looking to improve on a moderate finish a night earlier, Eric entered round #2 of the Winter Nationals a Bubba Raceway Park. Twenty-seven competitors registered for the $10,000-to-win event. Eric failed to transfer into the feature event via heat race action and scratched from the b-main, but was able to lock in the final starting spot by way of a series provisional. Wells drove by eight competitors during the 50 lapper in route to a 15th place finish.

Sunday evening boosted a $12,000 top prize in the Winter Nationals finale at Bubba Raceway Park. Eric just missed the transfer into the feature from his heat race, but a second place run in the b-main earned him a 20th place starting spot for the feature event. During the course of the 60 lap feature, Wells made it to a 17th place finish.
