1May 31st, 2014 - With the scheduled World of Outlaws (WoO) Late Model Series event on Thursday night falling victim to Mother Nature, the team made the decision to enter a single event in their home state of Kentucky.

The 28th Annual Ralph Latham Memorial was contested on Saturday night at Florence Speedway (Union, Kentucky). Thirty-six entries were on hand for the event, which was sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS). Unfortunately, Wells failed to reach a transfer position in heat race or b-main action as his night came to an early end. Full results from the event are available at www.LucasDirt.com

1May 25th, 2014 - The World of Outlaws (WoO) Late Model Series took the team to Tyler County Speedway (Middlebourne, West Virginia) over the Memorial Day weekend for the annual Jackpot 100.

Saturday night saw qualifications and preliminary action being held for the $20,000-to-win event as thirty-one entries converged on the oval. Eric narrowly missed the transfer into the main event via heat race action, leaving him to run a b-main on Sunday.

Despite starting on the front row of the b-main Wells failed to reach a transfer position, and would utilize a series provisional to gain a starting spot in the 75 lap finale. Eric charged from deep in the back to register a thirteenth place finish in the final rundown.

Wells continues to reside seventh in the latest series standings. Full results from the weekend and complete series' standings are available at www.WoOLMS.com

1May 18th, 2014 - Even though Mother Nature nixed the scheduled World of Outlaws (WoO) Late Model Series program on Saturday night at Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tennessee) Eric Wells and Wells Motorsports were still able to enter a pair of events with the series.

Friday night took Eric to the familiar confines of 201 Speedway (Sitka, Kentucky) as the $10,000-to-win event drew a field of 39 entries to the 1/3 mile oval. Struggles in qualifying left Wells starting deep in his heat race grid, but he was able to charge through the pack to a second place finish, which sent him to the redraw for the feature where he was the recipient of the third starting spot. He raced in the top five early in the feature event before ultimately crossing the finish line in the seventh position.

After the rain-induced night off on Saturday evening the team traveled to Duck River Raceway Park (Wheel, Tennessee) on Sunday night for another $10,000-to-win race, where he debuted his brand-new #18 Wells Motorsports/Rocket by Brucebilt Performance. Thirty-three competitors took part in the event, and a third place finish in his heat race locked him into the tenth starting spot for the 50 lap feature. Eric would go on to finish eighth at the checkered flag.
