1September 13th, 2014 - Eric Wells made the trip to Berlin Raceway (Marne, Michigan) over the weekend for the 3rd Annual Keyser Manufacturing Down 'N Dirty weekend. The 7/16 mile oval, which typically operates as a paved oval, was covered in dirt for the event.

Mother Nature forced the cancellation of Friday night's $8,000-to-win, preliminary event. As a result, the weekend was condensed into a single $15,000-to-win race on Saturday evening. Eric qualified sixth in his group during time trials, and later finished second in his heat race to lock into the seventh starting spot for the 65 lap finale. He went on to register a sixth place finish behind race winner Darrell Lanigan, Tim McCreadie, Shane Clanton, and Scott Bloomquist.

Wells is sixth in the latest series standings. Full results from the event and complete series' standings are available at www.WoOLMS.com

Festivities opened on Thursday night with 117 entries in the pit area. The field was divided into a pair of $5,000-to-win programs via time trials, and his qualifying effort locked Eric into the tenth starting spot for his heat race. He would advance to a second place finish, which locked him into the ninth starting spot for the 25 lap, preliminary feature. During the course of the main event Wells settled to a fourteenth place finish in the final rundown.

On Friday evening another pair of $5,000-to-win races were contested, and a second place finish in his heat race earned Eric the eighth starting spot on the grid for the 25 lap, preliminary feature. In the main event he slipped back to a tenth place finish at the checkered flag.

In front of a capacity crowd the final night of the mega-event was held on Saturday night. Via his qualifying efforts, Erid started seventh in his heat race. He advanced to a fifth place finish which sent him to a b-main, where he failed to reach a transfer position to the 100 lap, $47,000-to-win finale. As a result, his weekend would come to an early end.
