, 2016 - Heading south to Volusia Speedway Park (Barberville, Florida), Eric Wells was one of forty-four Super Late Models signed in on Monday night for the opening night of the 45th Annual UMP DIRTcar Nationals. Transferring the top four out of the heats and into the feature, Wells logged a 9th place outing sending him into the B-Main. Battling for a transfer spot into the A-Main, Eric fell short with a 6th place outing.

Recording the 6th fastest time in his group on Tuesday night, Wells needed a 3rd place finish or better to make the show. Logging a 7th place finish, Eric transferred into the B-Main for another shot at $7,000-to-win A-Main. Falling one position short of a transfer spot, Eric Well registered a 3rd place finish.

Wrapping up the 45th Annual UMP DIRTcar Nationals, Eric Wells was one of fifty-two cars signed in on Tuesday night at Volusia Speedway Park (Barberville, Florida). Posting the 2nd fastest qualifying time in his group, Wells earned a front row starting spot for his heat. Falling back to a 6th place finish, Eric was sent into the B-Main. Needing a 2nd place finish or better to make the $10,000-to-win feature, Eric Wells registered a 6th place outing.

1On Thursday for the first night of World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series (WoO) action, Eric scored a 3rd place finish in his heat after laying down the 5th fastest qualifying time in his group. Paying $10,000 to the winner of the A-Main, Wells gained five spots in the 50-lapper recording a 13th pace outing.

Starting in 6th for his heat race on Friday night, Eric Wells transferred into the B-Main after placing 5th. Transferring the top two out of the B-Main, Eric grabbed the last transfer spot with a runner-up finish behind Mark Whitener. Starting in 22nd, Wells ran into some trouble when he spun out on the lap 13. Coming from the tail, Eric Wells retired a 28th place outing in the remaining 37 laps.

Competing in the final night of the 45th Annual DIRTcar Nationals, Wells fell two spots short of a transfer positon in his heat with a 5th place finish. Coming one spot short of transfer position in his B-Main, Well relied on a provisional to make the show. Gaining six positions in the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Eric retired a 23rd place outing.

- Making his 2016 season debut, Eric Wells made the trip to Screven Motor Speedway (Sylvania, Georgia) on Friday night for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series (WoO) 2016 season opener. Drawing forty-six Super Late Models for the Winter Freeze VI, Wells transferred into the B-Main for another shot at the feature after placing 9th in his heat. Transferring the top three into the $8,000-to-win A-Main, Eric came two spots short with a 5th place outing.

For the second night of action, Eric edged his way into the feature with a 4th place outing in his heat. Starting in 14th for the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Wells gained one spot in the 50-lapper recording a 13th place finish.
