1July 30th, 2016 - Powering the Wells Motorsports #18 Super Late Model, Eric Wells headed to Quincy Raceway (Quincy, Illinois) on Thursday night for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series sanctioned show. In a field of twenty-six cars, Wells posted a 4th place finish in his heat setting him up with the 11th-starting spot for the feature. With $8,000 on the line, Eric fell back to a 20th place outing.

The following night brought Wells to Fairbury American Legion Speedway (Fairbury, Illinois) for the two-day 27th Annual Prairie Dirt Classic. Going for a scary ride in hot-laps that sent him barrel rolling through turns one and two, Wells had to pull out the secondary car for qualifying. After posting the third fastest time in a group of 30 cars, Eric fell back to a 9th place finish in his heat transferring him into the B-Main on Saturday night. Sending only the winner out of the consolation event, Wells had to rely on the use of a provisional to make the $27,000-to-win A-Main. Coming from the 24th position, Eric Wells stormed through the field 15 spots in the 100-lapper recording a 9th place finish.

1July 14th, 2016 - Returning with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series (WoO) in the Gopher State, Eric Wells visited Ogilvie Raceway (Ogilvie, Minnesota) on Wednesday night. Recording the 5th fastest time in a field of twenty-nine cars, Wells charged to a heat race win earning him a front-row high-side starting spot for the feature. With $10,000 on the line, Eric held on to a top five finish registering a 4th place spot in the 50-lapper.

1July 9th, 2016 - Making the trip north to the Hawkeye State, Eric Wells was one of twenty-five Super Late Models signed in at Hamilton County Speedway (Webster City, Iowa) for the opening night of three in the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series. Transferring the top six out of the heats, Wells placed 3rd earning him a 9th place starting spot for the $8,000-to-win A-Main. Charging through the field six positions, Eric scored a 3rd place finish behind Brian Shirley and Jimmy Mars with Josh Richards and Brandon Overton rounding out the top five. (Mike Ruefer Photo)

1On Friday night in a field of twenty-seven cars at Mason City Motor Speedway (Mason City, Iowa) for the WoO sanctioned Wild West Tour, Wells followed up the 2nd fastest time in qualifying behind Chad Simpson with a 10-lap heat race win. Earning a 4th place starting spot of the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Eric fell three positions recording a 8th place outing.

Closing out the three-day stint with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series, Well visited Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, Minnesota) on Saturday for the NAPA Auto Parts Gopher 50 A-Main. Laying down the 3rd fastest time in a field of thirty-six Super Late Models, Wells posted another heat race victory setting him up with a 5th place starting spot for the $11,000-to-win A-Main. Running as high as 4th, Eric suffered a flat left-rear tire on lap 44 sending him back to a 17th place finish.
