1April 29th, 2017 - Back with the Schaeffer Oil Spring Nationals series, Eric Wells traveled to Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tennessee) on Friday night for the Scott Sexton Memorial. In a field of 34 cars, Wells locked his spot into the $10,052 A-Main with a 2nd place finish in his heat behind Jimmy Owens. Starting in 7th, Eric fell one spot in the 52-lapper registering an 8th place finish.

1Saturday Wells headed to Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tennessee) for the Southern All Star Series sanctioned Rockin’ with the Stars 50. Scoring a runner-up spot in his heat behind Shane Clanton, Eric earned the 5th-starting position for the feature. With $7,500 on the line, Wells held his spot landing a 5th place finish behind Brandon Sheppard, Chris Madden, Tim McCreadie, and Shane Clanton. (Michael Moats photo)

1April 15th, 2017 - On Friday night Eric Wells visited Ponderosa Speedway (Junction City, Kentucky) for the Schaeffer Oil Spring Nationals sanctioned event. With 27 Super Late Models on hand for the Spring Showdown, Eric recorded a 4th place finish in his heat race positioning him 19th on the starting gird for the feature. Improving seven positions in the 40-lap affair, Wells reeled in a 12th place finish.

The following night the Spring Nationals series brought 33 entries to Florence Speedway (Union, Kentucky) for the $5,000-to-win A-Main. Laying down the fastest time overall in qualifying, Eric went on to place 2nd in the 4-lap dash locking him into the 2nd-starting position for the feature. Bringing home a Top 5 finish, Eric Wells landed a 4th place spot behind Brandon Overton, Mike Marlar, and Devin Moran with Michael Chilton coming in 5th.

1April 2nd, 2017 - Following the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series, Eric Wells made the trip to Farmer City Speedway (Farmer City, Illinois) on Saturday night for the two-day Illini 100. Drawing 41 Super Late Models for the $15,000-to-win A-Main, Wells locked his spot into the main event with a 3rd place finish in his 10-lap heat race. Starting in 9th, Eric dropped two positions in the 75-lapper to place 13th.
