1May 27th, 2017 - Kicking off the Memorial Day Weekend, Eric Wells made the trek to Atomic Speedway (Chillicothe, Ohio) on Friday night for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series sanctioned program. In a field of 33 cars, Wells followed up the third fastest time in his qualifying group with a 3rd place finish in his heat race. Starting in 9th for the opening night feature, Eric gained one position in the 50-lapper registering an 8th place finish.

1Saturday night brought Wells to NAPA Wayne County Speedway (Orrville, Ohio) for the $12,000-to-win A-Main. After running into mechanical problems in his heat race, Eric stormed through the field eight positions in his B-Main securing his spot into the feature with a 3rd place finish. Sunday's World of Outlaws sanctioned contest at Tyler County Speedway (Middlebourne, West Virginia) was cancelled due to the weather.

1May 14th, 2017 - On Saturday night Eric Wells was one of 25 Super Late Models signed in at Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tennessee) for the Mountain Outlaw 50. Passing one car in his heat race, Wells landed a 7th place outing locking him into the 19th-starting spot for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series sanctioned A-Main. Working his way into the Top 10, Eric jumped up nine spots in the 50-lapper to place 10th.

1The following night Wells stopped at Duck River Raceway Park (Wheel, Tennessee) for the event rescheduled from Friday evening. Timing in tenth fastest overall, Eric went on to place 3rd in his heat race positioning him 7th on the starting grid for the feature. 1May 6th, 2017 - Eric Wells headed south on Friday night returning with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series at Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, South Carolina). With 31 cars on hand, Wells landed a 2nd place finish in his heat race behind Brandon Sheppard earning him the 4th-starting spot for the opening night feature. Bringing home a podium finish, Eric jumped up one position scoring a 3rd place spot behind Shane Clanton and Brandon Sheppard with Jonathan Davenport and Chub Frank rounding out the Top 5. 1The following night Wells stopped at Fayetteville Motor Speedway (Fayetteville, North Carolina) for the Tar Heel 50. Following the thirteenth fastest time in qualifying, Wells edged his way into the $10,000-to-win A-Main with a 4th place finish in his heat race. Rolling off 10th, Eric slipped up four spots in the 50-lapper registering a 14th place outing.
