1September 24th, 2017 - On Friday night Eric Wells returned with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series for the $10,000 top prize at Lakeside Speedway (Lakeside, Kansas). Passing one car in his heat, Wells recorded a 6th place finish earning him the 17th-starting position for the opening night feature. Gaining two positions in the 50-lapper, Eric logged a 15th place outing.

1The following night brought Wells to Salina Highbanks Speedway (Salina, Oklahoma) for the Bravado Wireless Green County 50. Improving three spots in his heat race, Eric posted a 2nd place finish behind Chris Madden positioning him 5th on the starting grid for the A-Main. Wrapping up the World of Outlaws sanctioned weekend on Sunday, Eric headed to at 81 Speedway (Park City, Kansas) for the $8,000-to-win A-Main. Following the sixth fastest time in a field of 17 cars, Wells landed a 3rd place finish in his heat transferring him into the main event with the 9th-starting position. Dropping out the Top 10, Eric Wells slipped back to a 12th place outing in the 40-lap affair.

1September 3rd, 2017 - After the Working Man 50 at Lernerville Speedway (Lernerville, Pennsylvania) was rained out on Saturday night, Eric Wells headed to Selinsgrove Speedway (Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania) on Sunday for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series sanctioned program. With 27 cars signed in for the 19th annual National Open, Eric secured his spot into the $8,000-to-win A-Main with a 5th place finish in his heat race. Rolling off 13th, Wells slipped back to a 20th place outing in the 40-lap affair.
