1June 30, 2018 - Friday night brought Eric Wells to 201 Speedway (Sitka, Kentucky) competing in a field of 31 Super Late Models for the Paul H. Salyer Memorial. After failing to lock his spot into the show via his heat race, Wells scored a consolation victory positioning him 18th on the starting grid for the feature. Breaking into the Top-5, Eric Wells improved 13 spots in the 50-lapper reeling in a 3rd place finish behind Zach Dohm and R.J. Conley with Rod Conley and Kyle Hardy completing the Top-5 finishers.

1The following night at Portsmouth Raceway Park (Portsmouth, Ohio) for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) sanctioned Independence 50, Wells posted a 7th place finish in his heat giving him one more shot at the $12,000-to-win A-Main with a B-Main appearance. Sending the Top-3 into the show, Eric logged a 6th place outing ending his night early.

1June 23, 2018 - Making his first start of the season with the Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Series, Eric Wells traveled to Florence Speedway (Union, Kentucky) on Saturday night for the $5,000 top prize. With 24 Super Late Models registered in for action, Wells locked his spot into the feature with a 4th place finish in his heat race. Wheeling his way into the Top-5, Eric gained five spots in the 50-lap affair to place 5th behind Jason Jameson, Jackie Boggs, Devin Gilpin, and Kent Robinson.

1June 14, 2018 - Thursday night found Eric Wells in action at Crossville Speedway (Crossville, Tennessee) for the Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals Series finale. In a field of 20 cars, Wells recorded the sixth fastest time in qualifying positioning him 6th on the starting grid for the $4,000-to-win A-Main. Breaking into a podium spot, Eric passed three cars in the 40-lapper reeling in a 3rd place finish behind Michael Chilton and Jason Jameson with Aaron Ridley and Zach Leonhardi completing the Top-5 finishers. With his performance on Thursday night, Eric Wells captured the Schaeffer's Oil Spring Nationals Series points title and the $5,053 payday.
