1May 26, 2018 - Kicking off the Memorial Day Weekend, Eric Wells traveled to Crossville Speedway (Crossville, Tennessee) on Thursday night for the Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals sanctioned opener. Laying down the eighth fastest time in a field of 20 cars, Wells earned the 8th-starting position for the opening night feature. Just after the field lined up on the track, Mother Nature moved in a postponed the 40-lap feature to June 14th.

After losing Friday’s program at Boyd’s Speedway (Ringgold, Georgia) to bad weather, Eric returned to action on Saturday at Dixie Speedway (Woodstock, Georgia) for the $5,000 top prize. With 31 Super Late Models on hand, Wells recorded the seventh fastest time in his qualifying group locking him into the 14th-starting position for the feature. Moving up two spots in the 50-lapper, Eric Wells reeled in a 12th place outing.

Sunday’s finale at Tri-County Racetrack (Brasstown, North Carolina) fell victim to Mother Nature.

1May 4, 2018 - On Friday evening Eric Wells visited Tazewell Speedway (Tazewell, Tennessee) for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) sanctioned Toyota Knoxville 50. With 28 Super Late Models on hand, Wells locked his spot into the $10,000-to-win A-Main with a 4th place finish in his heat. Saturday’s Ralph Latham Memorial at Florence Speedway (Union, Kentucky) was washed out by Mother Nature.
