With 55 Late Models entered for a round of prelims, Overton laid down the fastest time in his group before Mother Nature made an appearance when heat races were staging. Continuous rain and an unfavorable forecast forced officials to cancel the remainder of the program.

On Friday, Brandon charged from the third row in his heat to pick up the win. Starting the $5,000-to-win preliminary in the second, Overton faded one spot in the 25-lapper to finish third.

Outrunning Brandon Sheppard in his heat race on Saturday afternoon, Overton locked into the sixth-starting position for the $75,000-to-win North-South 100. Starting in sixth, Brandon made a late charge to dethrone race-long pacesetter Jonathan Davenport but came up short in the 100-lapper. He followed Davenport to the checkers with Dale McDowell, Ricky Thornton Jr., and Mike Marlar rounding out the Top-5.

Following the fastest lap in his 20-car group, Overton dashed to a heat race win over Jonathan Davenport. Starting the $20,000-to-win A-Main in second, Brandon chased race-long pacesetter Shane Clanton to the checkers in the 40-lapper with Chris Madden rounding out the podium.

Battling for another $20,000 payday on Tuesday, Brandon claimed the fast time honors in qualifying with a 15.710-second place before placing first in his heat. Losing two spots in the 40-lap feature, Overton recorded a third-place finish, which came behind Chris Madden and Shane Clanton.

With passing points from pair of heat races on Friday setting the grid for Saturday’s main event, Brandon followed up a second-place finish in his first round with a 10th-to-seventh showing in his second heat.

Transferring into a B-Main on Saturday, Overton secured his spot into the $50,000-to-win USA Nationals finale with a 15-lap consolation victory. Starting in 18th, Brandon rebounded to finish 11th in the 100-lapper after getting involved in pair of tangles on lap 37 and 64.
